Halloween Photo Shoot

Rosie is my little doll. Liam gets harder and harder to photograph every passing day.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Fall

We are having such a gorgeous autumn here in Oregon. The weather has been sunny and warm and the leaves on the trees are slowly turning red, orange and yellow. Liam gets a kick out of tromping through them during our afternoon walks.

I tried to get a picture of Liam throwing the leaves up in the air, but they all turned out like this:

6 months old

My sweet little Rosie's first year is already halfway gone. She is such a sweet, happy girl and I can hardly remember our family without her.

She usually wakes up once per night. She is still nursing like a champ. I've started giving her tastes of food. I'm going to try out the Baby Led Weaning method for introducing solid foods to her in hopes of not having another picky eater.

She sits up by herself pretty well, though I don't leave her without pillows around her in case she falls over. She doesn't roll over with any consistency yet, though she likes being on her belly.

Rosie loves Sophie the Giraffe (her baby chew toy) and Liam. He is pretty good with her most of the time.

She laughs so hard when he plays with her, even when he's a little bit rough.

I love these next photos of Rosalyn. They are straight out of my camera, just the product of gorgeous light, an adorable subject and my favorite 50mm lens.

I love Rosie so much and I am so thankful for her. I can't wait to watch her grow up and see who she will become.

Christmas 2012

I tried to take Liam to see Santa. We spent several days talking and reading books about Santa to help him prepare.

It didn't work.

Our family picture turned out much better.

I adore the pictures that I took of Liam for our Christmas card.

Funny story. Liam loves M&Ms. He first had them on Easter, the same time he was introduced to jelly beans. He wasn't talking at the time, but months later he had them again and called them "beans." His beans are the best bribe that I can offer him.

Christmas Prep

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in our home. I got the tree put up and decorated this week in the hopes that I could take Liam's picture in front of it for our Christmas cards. It's so nice to have it up and my home smells wonderful.

Unfortunately I have reached my Google picture limit so I can't upload all of the pictures that I would like to share. Here are the important ones though.

(These are tiny and low resolution. I'll send better copies to the you, Mamaw and Nana.)

Happy 2nd Birthday, Liam!

I cannot believe that my baby is already 2 years old. I can't say enough wonderful things about Liam. He has totally and completely changed my life.

Look how much he's grown!

4th of July

Independence Day was full of fun. A few weeks ago, I changed out the frames in my hallway. I love the picture of Liam last year, he was so little! These printables all came from Pinterest. Unfortunately, I didn't pin them, just printed them when I found them.

I am ashamed to admit that I had to take out our Christmas card to put up July 4th decor!
Dan's family is in town. It is non-stop fun. Liam loves playing with his "ta-tins." That's cousins for those of you who don't speak Toddler. On the 4th, we went to the river, rode in the boat and played in the sand.

At night, there wasn't enough room for all of us to fit in the boat and watch the fireworks on the river. I didn't mind, since Liam needed to get to bed earlier than that. Dan and Liam watched the neighborhood fireworks in the backyard. Liam is still saying "boom! pop!" this morning. I took my camera and tripod to the overpass near my house to watch a big fireworks display and get pictures. I got eaten alive by mosquitoes, but it was totally worth it.

A huge full moon rose around the same time the fireworks were going off. It was on the wrong side for me, but I did manage to get this:

Happy birthday, America!

Emma's Visit

We love Emma, almost as much as we love her parents! We were so glad when our friends came down for the weekend. On Saturday, we took the kids out to the river. Since we had a few extra people with us, we got to take turns riding the SeaDoo. We had a blast and I think the kids did too. I didn't get any pictures at the beach, but I got a few the next morning before our friends had to leave.

Liam was definitely not interested in having his picture taken at first.

He warmed up to the idea and I got a few okay pictures of the two kiddos.

When I tried to take a picture of Emma, Liam suddenly became very interested in getting in front of the camera.

Thanks for visiting. We hope that you guys can come visit us again, soon!

Pictures with Momma

I don't have enough pictures of me and Liam. I'm always the one behind the camera. Without going into a long story, I recently got my remote trigger back and took some pictures of the two of us on my bed.

Liam's version of giving me kisses is offering me his cheek.

Silly boy discovered that if he hit the button on the remote, the flash would go off and the camera would click. He's a smartie pants and so so cute.
